Experimenting with Discrete Cosine Transforms for Embedding Watermark in Image

Abstract


The present epoch is digital. Multimedia database applications, multimedia data transfer applications, and multimedia production and distribution applications have significantly increased throughout the decade. The obligation of secure multimedia communication has potentially augmented with the advances in multimedia technology and opened the doors of a very vast area for the research community. Copyright enforcement schemes have become the major concern of the content owners and content providers. Techniques of embedding information in the digital data, also known as information hiding are being improved. This article puts forth the results of experimentation of applying the discrete cosine transform for embedding data in the vulnebarities of the image.
