The Smart Painting Application Using Augmented Reality

Carlos Díaz, Cary Tippets

Abstract

Augmented Reality is a breakthrough technology that would make complex operations much easier to carry out. Augmented Reality mixes virtual and actual reality making new tools available to the user to ensure efficiency in knowledge transfer for multiple processes and in multiple environments. AR has demonstrated a significant increase in the challenges of overcoming cyber physical system visualization and interaction in multiple fields including gaming, advertising, medicine, construction and manufacturing. At present, AR is a technology that is extremely demanding.

This paper presents the various examples of Augmented Reality applications and shows AR's feasibility in various fields such as maintenance tasks, highlighting the benefits it could bring. This survey provides a starting point for anyone interested in AR research and will also examine future scopes.
