A Through Analysis of Web Usage Mining and its Applications

V. Losarwar, C. Kimpan

Abstract

Web mining is the application of data mining techniques to discover patterns from the World Wide Web. Identifying the user’s usage patterns is very important in using the large number of information available in the World Wide Web. Web mining involves identifying usage pattern and has many practical applications. Using web to interact with the user behavior to makes efforts predict the potential techniques. This paper is to provide a general view on web usage mining and its importance for designers and those interested in e-commerce and website personalization. Also, it illustrates the different applications and tools used for web mining. Finally, it explains web usage mining which are important such as privacy and scalability some current issues and challenges.

Keywords
