A Verification Mechanism for Signature Using ANN

Kaushik Adhikary, Amit Kumar

Abstract

An artificial neural network has been developed to simulate the functioning of biological neural network. A large number of neurons is interconnected in a neural network. And this interconnection of neurons is used for various computations. The main feature of neural network is that it can adapt to changing situations and learns through this process. As a signature is composed of special characters, they are mostly unreadable. As signatures are vital for any transactions, their verification is a very important research topic. In this paper we propose an efficient method for verifying signatures using neural network.
