Video Watermarking Scheme in Wavelet Domain

B. Hari Krishna, G. Upender, G. Malika

Abstract

Digital watermarking is one way to the users to protect the digital content from the hackers. By considering the stability of the low-frequency components in 1D-DWT (1-dimension discrete wavelet transform), a video watermarking scheme in wavelet domain is proposed in this paper. The watermark is embedded in the blocked low-frequency image by considering whole consecutive frames obtained from a video and we can obtain a low frequency image, which is the same size as the raw frame. The experimental results demonstrate that the watermarking method has strong robustness against some common attacks, such as compression of MPEG-2, noise attack, frame exchanging. The robustness of the proposed technique is calculated in terms of PSNR, as we consider more number of frames the robustness is increased which is shown in the results and discussion. The proposed scheme is less complex and has smaller calculation deal, so it can meet the real-time requirements.
