Ontology – Driven E-Learning System for Semantic Web

R. Arthi, V. Uma

Abstract

E-Learning is the learning process created by interaction with digitally delivered content, services and support. The problem in the existing system is the lack of personalization. “Ontology-Driven E-Learning System for Semantic Web” presents an approach to e-learning personalization using the concepts of ontology. The system comprises ontologies for the e-learning process, such as course syllabus, questionnaires. The use of Ontologies for knowledge representation will enable the usage of the teaching contents in the Semantic Web. The automatic allocation of the learning contents according to the student’s knowledge and skills which has been gathered from the initial assessment test enhances the learning process by providing personalized content in an effective way.
