A. Dominicsavio, P. Poongodi, S. Samuel Ebenezer

Abstract

This paper presents the excitation control system in generator operation. The topic of this paper involves the design and construction of excitation control (or) Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for the synchronous generator. It is necessary to develop the electronic control system for the machine. The Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) is widely used in electrical power field to obtain the stability and good regulation of the electric system. The technology the fuzzy based on fixed range of the variables of output voltage. The control output is used to control the plant. To adjust the voltage using fuzzy logic principles, so that the voltage is stabilized. In this report, how fuzzy logic might provide elegant and efficient solutions in the design of multivariable control based on experimental results rather than on mathematical models
