Fuzzy based Grid Connected PV System with Isolated Coupled-Inductor-Integrated Dc-Dc Converter and Multilevel Inverter

K. Komagal Rajapriya, T. Porselvi

Abstract

This paper proposes isolated coupled inductor integrated dc-dc converter and multilevel inverter for solar energy applications. Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is used to generate the gate signals for the isolated coupled inductor integrated Dc-Dc converter which enhances the overall efficiency of the system. The proposed converter produces high step up voltage gain without increasing the turn’s ratio of the coupled inductor by using a dual voltage doubler circuit in the secondary side. Also the energy in the coupled inductor leakage inductance can be recycled by a non dissipative snubber circuit. Three phase cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter circuit is proposed with reduced number of switches and the single dc source, to generate three phase multilevel output voltage.
