Resistive EM Wave Absorber using Phase Cancellation Technique

E. Krishna Kumar, N. Rajesh, S. Balamurali

Abstract

In this paper electromagnetic absorber is proposed to control the radiation emanated from the base transceiver station using metallic patches and resistive sheets. The design is for third generation spectrum centered at 2.140 GHz . The notion is to enhance the bandwidth by convoluted structures. It has given the bandwidth of 120 MHz at 30dB. Experimental results are presented and compared with the simulated one. The equivalent circuit model is also discussed to validate the design.
