Abstract

The growing vehicle population in all the countries contributes to traffic. So there is a need to control the traffic by implementing some more additional measures. The existing traffic control system is a time based one. It is not that much efficient and not favorable to people. In such situations, an efficient density based control on traffic is needed. Density based control techniques under researches are cost effective. In our proposing method, the captured image from the road is processed and converted into different form of images in order to calculate the number of vehicles present in the image. After calculating the number of vehicles we can able to know in which side of the road the density is high. Based on the calculated value, respective road is enabled to move. And also some more additional features like special treatment to emergency vehicles, information about the road block to nearest traffic police are added with it.
