A Blue Brain Technology

M. Sanjeevi, S. Gopala Krishnan

Abstract

“Blue brain-world’s first virtual brain” is the project to create a synthetic brain which is similar to that of human brain. This synthetic brain can be created by reverse- engineering mammalian brain circuitry.  This brain can think, take decision, response, and keep anything in memory. Human brain is more complex than any circuitry in the world. So the question may arise “is it possible to create a human brain?” and the answer is “yes”. It is possible through technology. Technology is growing faster than everything.  IBM is now in research to create a virtual brain. It is called “blue brain”. If possible, this would be the first virtual brain. Virtual brain is not actually a natural brain but it act as brain. It is possible through super computer, with a huge amount of storage space, processing power, and an interface between the human brain and this artificial brain. The data stored in human brain can be uploaded to computer by using this interface. So, the knowledge and intelligence of anyone can be kept and used for ever, even after the death of the person.
