A Survey of Energy Efficient Technique for Virtual Machine in Cloud Computing

Himalay Pandya

Abstract

Growth of Computation power by IT Company, Space center, Research Center, business and web-application has consuming amount of electrical power. Large number of cloud computing system wastes a more amount of energy and emit a considerable amount of carbon dioxide. So it is important to manage energy of resource and use as Energy Efficient Resource. This survey paper provide various approaches for Green-It that is virtualization, power management, material recycling and improve exiting algorithm, energy efficient hardware. So this is helpful for better idea for energy minimization and creating research paper. Green it refers to study and practice of using computing resource effective, efficiency and economical way Green cloud Computing is not only for efficient processing and utilization of computing infrastructure but also minimize energy consumption. Power management in virtual machine defines how many physical machines is turn off mode or in running mode. It calculates gross occupied resource weight ratio of virtual machine and based on that we can identified how many virtual machines have overloaded, how many virtual machines have under load and how many of them have no task. After we can turn off virtual machine who have no task and minimize power of virtual machine. Virtual machines have more tasks then wake up stand by virtual machine and perfume migration of virtual machine. Cloud computing using green algorithm can enable more energy efficient use of computing power. Other approach is Green scheduling algorithm. In this approach, reeducation By using simulation like as Cloudsim, simGrid, Open Nebula, Greencloud etc. we can manage energy of resource and use as Energy Efficient Resource.
