Abstract

The system consists of one or more transmitters and a
receiver which communicate through wireless system. The
transmitter detects the open phase conductor by monitoring the phaseconductor voltage. When an open phase conductor detected, the transmitter send the signal to receiver by using wireless system. The receiver decodes the signal and generates a trip signal which mayactive a breaker a ground switch or recloser causing isolation of the distribution line with open phase conductor .The system is suitable for three phase distribution lines, if perfectly isolate the fault phase
alone because most of the consumer are single phase user except industrial user. It also activates the alarm on control room of electricboard and sends the SMS to authorized person or officer about the fault using GSM. In case of working of men in distribution line, It display the content in screen as “Men at work’ in order to avoid to switch on the supply while working and it also never allow the power to flow on distribution line by activating the special safety switch in
this system.
