Effective Energy Saving Strategy for Wireless Access Network Using Software Defined Network

Abstract


The objective is to find the base station (BSs) sleeping control and energy saving configuration between total power consumption and average video’s quality. On the software Defined Network access network architecture. The base station (BSs) sleeps when there is no active users, and wakes up after a period of vacation time. The active users grouping strategy, is used to spare more BSs into sleeping mode. In this strategy, to active base Station’s transmitting time is minimized in order to save energy.
