Base Station Coordinately Scheduled Transmission in A Downlink OFDMA Networks

E. Logambal, V. Vasantha

Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) base stations allow multiple users to transmit simultaneously on different sub carriers during the same symbol period. In downlink multicell orthogonal frequency division multipleaccess(OFDMA) wireless network, the problem of co channel interference is mitigated and capacity is increased by using base station coordination. In coordinated scheduling a cluster ofneighboring base stations schedule transmissions to users in their cells jointly. Here the coordinated access points only share channel quality measurements but not user data symbols. The set of cochannel users are selected in OFDMA networks and they are scheduled by coordinated scheduling and power is allocated. The power optimization is done by Improved Iterative Water Fillingalgorithm (IIWF).
