Abstract

The aim of our project is to design and build a prototype for the digital measurement of the blood pressure. It is the pressure exerted on the arterial walls when blood flows through it. It is denoted in terms of maximum (Systolic) and minimum (Diastolic) pressure. The project aims in modelling of a device that will automatically control the inflation of a cuff corresponding to the appearance and disappearance of the Korotkoff sounds and hence measure the systolic and diastolic pressures and display it.

Keywords

Korotkoff, Auscultatory, Systolic, Diastolic.
