Improving Device-aware Web Service in Distributed Mobile Environment

N. Shenbagavadevu, T. Kala, K. Sivalingam

Abstract

In the present scenario mobile devices become vital element in the day to day activities, even for performing financial transaction. The web services can serve as an important role in distributed environment that can provide different type of services. In the modern m-commerce application the Web services are very inflexible as regards their invocation from different types of devices, particularly for mobile devices. This paper provides a methodology for the creation of the flexible web service which can be adaptable from different types of devices. The adaptation is performed based on the characteristic of devices and end-user preferences. Besides that the final user decides whether he wants to receive service information is full or adaptive to the specific device.
