Remote Administration and Automation of Enterprise Computer Systems Using PowerShell
Abstract
This paper will address how remote administration and automation of computer systems can be achieved using PowerShell 4.0, which was released in 2013. As we move into a world where each and every IT organization has hundreds, if not thousands of systems, it becomes extremely hard to manually administer each and every system. Therefore, a method of remote administration is of utmost importance. We will take a look at how the PowerShell scripting features can be manipulated to favour remoting and how remote administration works for Windows computers. We will also see the advantages of remote administration. The same principles are applied to cloud computing scenarios as well.
