Abstract

To implement an efficient Power Management and Smart Metering for providing high flexibility & accuracy. Here the service provider can control the energy consumption of the consumers by selecting different modes of operation (Priority based). When the demand in the grid increases with decreased amount of power generated, this in turn leads to insufficient availability of power at the consumer premises. Constant uninterrupted power is fed to the higher priority appliances connected to the meter, while the lower priority appliances receive power according to the power availability on the grid. The real time billing of the energy consumed is also calculated at the supplier end and is transmitted to the consumer end and is displayed in an LCD.Also this project helps people to be aware of the shutdown process a day before by an intimation in the LCD display & Buzzer from the EB Station to the user.
