RAMAF Wired and Wireless Network

Dr.R. Gandhiraja

Abstract

A new Congestion control mechanism for wireless link, referred to as RAMAF (Remove and Accept Most Active Flows), has been proposed. Traffic flows in wireless networks cause congestion and when there is congestion, in general beginning transmission of a new flow leads to further congestion. In basic Flow Awareness Networks new flows generally cannot begin transmission when the network is congested. This new solution will ensure short acceptance times of new streaming flows, without bothering if the outgoing link is congested or not. In addition to this, it allows for more effective transmission of elastic flows. This solution can be used in both wired and wireless FAN. Outcome of cautiously chosen reproduction conduct test prove that TCP New Jersey integrated with the RAMAF mechanism get together the requirements of the wireless transmission in FAN.
