IoT based Pollution Monitoring System USING Arduino Controller

M. Stusek, J. Pokorny, P. Masek, J. Hajny

Abstract

Air pollution has become a typical development. Pollution can be a real drawback, especially in urban areas. Many people get sick from contamination. In urban areas, the most important sources of pollution are the expansion of the range of fuel and diesel vehicles in the suburbs of cities and the emergence of commercial squares. This problem is very serious in big cities. Likewise, global climate change is now evident. Since cities usually have Wi-Fi hotspots in most places, devices are placed near the hotspots for operation. Thing Speak can be a stylish IoT platform that is easy to use and program. The sensor element used to observe contamination is the MQ-135 gas sensor element. The sensor element information is also displayed on a personalized digital display connected to the observation IoT device. Asian countries also plan to try this before 2025. Currently, it is necessary to observe the pollution situation in real time in most urban areas. The project aims to develop a connected IoT device that can monitor contamination in real time and log information to a remote server.
