Implementation of Remote Temperature Measuring Using a Thermopile for Wireless Sensor Network
Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is an important platform to build an intelligent house in the future. This paper describes a non-contact thermometer by detecting an object’s radiant power. We are going to design a portable device for remote measuring temperature, and then the device will be developed as a sensing node for WSN. The detection range is from 27°C to 300 °C. The average error is within ±3 °C. This study may provide a useful reference for researchers attempting to increase quality of remote radiometry. This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/18V step down transformer.
